For two years, Douri, CRN, Dla Ziemi and Unaedi the four partner organisations behind Empowering Creative Minds in Luxembourg, Germany, Poland and Ukraine brought artists into rooms with people who don’t usually get invited to make art. Workshops, encounters, sessions held wherever there was room, whenever people were ready. Out of that came work made side by side: artists brought their art, participants brought what they had been carrying, and something passed between them that doesn’t reduce easily to a single medium painting, dancing, and more.

What you’ll see

The exhibition brings together two bodies of work:

• Collaborative pieces made during the two-year project the result of artists and participants working together, shaped by real exchange rather than instruction.
• Individual works by the same artists, made independently, chosen because they speak to the same questions: trauma, change, what gets carried and what gets left behind, what breaks and gets put back together.
• A dance performance, exploring how trauma is carried and reshaped in the body.

Visitors move through both together, without a hard line separating “made with” from “made alone” because the point isn’t to label who contributed what, but to let the work stand on its own.

Origins

Art did not wait for better conditions. It arrived anyway in borrowed rooms, in unfamiliar cities, in hands that had carried other things for a long time.
Still Here is where Empowering Creative Minds, a Creative Europe project, shows what it made. Over two years, four partner organisations in Luxembourg, Germany, Poland and Ukraine listened to artists, conducted research, built methods, ran workshops, and gathered to show the result.

This exhibition is not a summary. Not a report. It’s the actual work and what it does to you, standing in front of it.
